16 November 2020 EcoRodovias Group: the new Ecovias do Cerrado concession is now operational
As of midnight, Satuday 14 November 2020, as part of the motorway network managed in Brazil by EcoRodovias, the new “Ecovias do Cerrado” motorway officially became operational.
EcoRodovias was awarded the concession for the BR 364/365 motorway system in September 2019 at the end of the tender launched by the Brazilian National Land Transport Agency (“ANTT”).
Ecovias do Cerrado is a strategic infrastructural asset that connects the two cities Jatai (Goiàs) and Uberlandia (Minas Gerais) for a total development of 437 kilometres and represents one of the most important routes for transporting grain from large agricultural areas from the central and western parts of the country towards Porto di Santos as well as for the supply of food and industrial products to the states of Goiàs and Minas Gerais.
