31 May 2023 ASTM & PoliTo: synergies for the professionals of tomorrow
On May 29 and 30, ASTM and Autostrada dei Fiori, the Group’s concessionaire for the A6 Turin-Savona and A10 Savona-Ventimiglia motorway sections, organised a training workshop dedicated to undergraduates enrolled in the master’s degree course in Civil Engineering at the Politecnico di Torino, one of Europe’s top universities. The initiative saw the University delegation, made up of 40 Italian and foreign students accompanied by their professors, engaged in two days of theoretical lectures and technical inspections at the A6 Turin-Savona viaduct upgrading sites. The partnership with the Politecnico di Torino is part of the broader strategy of ASTM which has long been committed to promoting and supporting numerous collaborations with the academic world. The aim is to encourage the exchange and sharing of knowledge, facilitate the creation of collaborations, stimulate innovation and creativity, and generate interest in the infrastructure and motorway concessions sector, areas that require highly specialized professionals.
This training event, which actively involved Autostrada dei Fiori concessionaire, adds the already established partnership between Sina, ASTM design company with PoliTo, which offers undergraduates the opportunity to carry out training and graduate internships, initiating paths that have led to the hiring of some talented young people.
