ASTM Group at Climate Week NYC: the A4 Turin-Milan Highway of the Future Project

ASTM Group will bring Italian innovation to Climate Week NYC 2024, unveiling the A4 Turin-Milan Highway of the Future project. Climate Week since 2009 has brought together every year key players from government, business and civil society who meet to address the crisis, drive change and support projects already put in place. The event, scheduled Sept. 22-29, is organized in partnership with the United Nations General Assembly, in coordination with the United Nations and the City of New York.

As part of the NEST Climate Campus (Sept. 24-26), a forum dedicated to the promotion of sustainable solutions for the circular economy and, more specifically, within the “Mobility, Transportation and Sustainable Travel” section, ASTM will present the project that will make the A4 Turin-Milan one of the most advanced and green highways in Italy and Europe. This complex intervention of digital and ecological transition represents the Group’s innovative and sustainable vision of mobility, where technology and attention to the environment come together to create a transportation system that is more efficient, safer and provides a better travel experience for users.

Among the planned innovations, developed together with Sinelec and Sina, ASTM’s technology and engineering players, respectively: a new road surface made of graphene and recycled hard plastics, resulting in a reduction in the use of new natural aggregates and CO2 emissions, a rainwater harvesting and reuse system, and the application of advanced technologies for traffic monitoring and safety management.
