30 October 2023 ASTM Group’s first P3 project in the USA concession market named “Best P3 Transit Project 2023”
The P3 project submitted by ASTM North America and Halmar International, both subsidiaries of the ASTM Group, to improve the accessibility of 13 New York City subway stations has been awarded “Best P3 Transit Project 2023.”
This Award concerns the public-private partnership (P3) tender promoted by the Metropolitan Transportation Authority in the broader context of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), a legislation aimed at protecting people with disabilities from discrimination in their public lives.
Specifically, the project consists of the installation of 20 new elevators, the replacement of 14 others, and, in general, improvements in the path-of-travel within the New York City subway network.
ASTM North America, which was awarded the concession, will be supported by Halmar International, responsible for carrying out the works and the subsequent operation and maintenance of the vertical transportation systems throughout the concession period.
The success of the project highlights ASTM’s competitiveness and integrated “One Company” approach to covering the entire value chain in the major transportation infrastructure sector.
